Support and investment
Here's what working with The Life Operations Co. includes and where the investment starts, for families in Summit, Short Hills, Chatham, Madison and nearby New Jersey towns.
How is support structured?
Support is a flat monthly investment built around how much help your family needs. On your first call, we'll listen to what's going on and recommend the right amount of support for your household, and if your needs change, you can adjust.
If you need more help in a busy month, additional time is available as an add-on.
What can a week of support look like?
For one family, a week of support might mean meal prep and a quick reset on Monday, laundry on Tuesday, a deeper organizing project midweek and errands on Friday. We plan a few weeks ahead for staffing and stay flexible for hectic weeks and big projects, so your support bends with your life.
What does every engagement include?
Every LOC engagement includes the following.
- An LOC helper comes on a regular schedule for the work your family wants off its plate.
- You have access to a full team, so a sick day or a vacation doesn't mean your support disappears.
- We handle scheduling, payment and feedback, and if a helper leaves, we replace them.
- You have one point of contact at The LOC for everything.
- Vendor and home-project coordination is included or available as an add-on, depending on your engagement.
Where does investment start?
Ongoing support starts at $1,450 a month. Every engagement begins with a $350 LIFE Method assessment, which covers the audit, a conversation with your family and your alignment meeting, and it's credited to your first month when ongoing support starts within 60 days.
Support for busy seasons and life's transitions
Some seasons ask more of a family than others, whether that's the holidays, a new baby, a move, back-to-school season or hosting family, or a bigger change like helping an aging parent who needs more care, or heading back to the office. The LOC offers time-bound support for these moments, structured the same way as ongoing support, so you have help through the change and a plan for what comes after.

How does The LOC compare to hiring a house manager directly?
Hiring a house manager directly can cost less per hour, and a great one can be a wonderful fit for your family. What The LOC adds is everything around that person: a strategic look at your whole household before support begins, a team we hire, train and manage so you don't have to, coverage when someone is out or moves on, and one place that's accountable for how it's all working.
Questions about support
Can we change our support?
Yes. If your family's needs change, we'll work with you to adjust how much support you have so it keeps fitting your life.
Do you recruit or place nannies or house managers?
No. LOC helpers are part of The LOC team, and we don't recruit or place household staff with families.
